Meet our Guest Quilters for the 2019 Tropical Inspirations Quilt Show
Viv is British by birth and was a teacher in high school until coming to America settling in Washington State. It was here that she ‘discovered’ quilting and now designs quilts and sells her patterns all over the country. She also enjoys teaching quilting on the mainland and in Hawaii. Willow Brook Quilts patterns are a mixture of patterns for all skill levels. Viv believes her pattern directions are well written and include a lot of detailed diagrams and ‘helpful hints’ to enable you to enjoy the quilt making experience.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Roberta Muller learned the art of Hawaiian quilting as a young girl from her grandmother, Therese Quinn. She began serious quilting in her 20s and hasn’t stopped since. Roberta teaches her craft at Kilauea Kreations II and at her home studio, both in Hilo. She will demonstrate how to use basic stitches to achieve a variety of beautiful hand-stitched quilts.
